The homeowners’ kitchen needed a refresh that honored their lifestyle — one rooted in comfort, family gatherings, and timeless design. They wanted to brighten the space, make it more functional for daily use, and create a layout that would still feel warm and welcoming, not flashy or overdone.

Design Solution

The new kitchen strikes the perfect balance of charm and functionality. Cream-colored Showplace cabinets now extend to the ceiling, offering generous storage and a clean, cohesive look. The cabinetry includes practical upgrades like a double trash pullout, mixer lift, and multiple roll-out trays to make everyday cooking a breeze. A peninsula with quartz countertops extends from the cabinetry, offering extra prep space, bar seating, and a smooth flow between the kitchen and adjacent areas.

The countertops are a standout feature—Custom Stone Fusion quartzite with a double pencil edge profile and soft, organic veining that adds depth and warmth. A natural stone backsplash in a basketweave travertine mosaic brings subtle texture and interest without overpowering the space.

Lighting upgrades were made throughout, including undercabinet and recessed LED fixtures, and the homeowners’ sentimental pendant light was thoughtfully reinstalled above the new island. Walls were painted in Sherwin-Williams “After Glow,” a soft golden hue that pulls everything together and reinforces the cozy, welcoming atmosphere.
