We all need a space to clean our dirty laundry.  Why not make your space as user friendly and comfortable as possible like this laundry room created by Wellborn Cabinets? A little organization and creative thinking can make the room (and the laundry) a little less daunting and a whole lot more pleasant to spend time in!

Here are some important things to consider when updating your laundry room.

Light- Not only do you need overhead lighting, but task lighting can be especially valuable in this type of space.  Do you have enough light to identify any spots that need to be pre-treated or catch anything that needs to be washed again?

Storage-  It’s important to keep in mind which items you need to anticipate storing in this room.  Some items to keep in mind are laundry detergents, stain treaters, fabric softeners, hanging items, laundry baskets, ironing boards and irons.  Due to the wide variety of sizes in these items, it’s important to plan for where each item might fit in this room.

Space- Make sure to include enough space to not only to sort your laundry but also to fold or hang your laundry when it’s dring or dry.
