Reminder: End of the Year/Holiday/Vacation update

As we near the end of the year please make sure to get your requests for vacation days in! Both divisions are currently scheduling work for the times around both Thanksgiving and Christmas. If you would like to take extra time off close to those times of the year, please get your vacation requests in sooner rather than later. Vacations are approved on a 1st come, 1st served basis. Specifically, we do need to know if you are planning on taking off the day before Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve or the rest of the week after New Years Day.

As a reminder, vacation does not roll over to the next year if not used UNLESS you are within your 1st year at Riverside. Later on in the newsletter are reminders of what days are paid holidays for employees and what days the company is not open. All employees have received documentation of their vacation time remaining late October. If you can't find the information or need an update, please reach out to Jen!

Trades spotlight

  • Momax has been working to template, create and install countertops for years. Their knowledge and 2 separate fabricating locations have allowed them to serve our customers well. If you see Sal or one of his crews, thank them for their hard work.
Core Value Focus:

Do the Right Thing

We engage our work with the best interests of our clients, coworkers, and company in mind.

Great current examples of how this is being done:

Dakota and Jeremy noted a gas leak smell next door to where they were working. Dakota struggled to convince the gas company of their location but persisted that they needed to come and resolve the issue for the homeowner and the neighborhood. The leak was eventually discovered, and no damage occurred to the neighbor's house.

Field crews taking the time to double and triple check their work and to make sure that everything meets or exceeds the customers' expectations.

Casey calling customers repeatedly to make sure that they get their end of project visit done.

John being persistent at reaching back customers who need warranty work done.

Take Care of Yourself!
  • If you are sick, take time off to recover! You will avoid spreading germs and heal faster.
  • Taking appropriate breaks and eating lunch allows your brain and body to reset. It also may give you new insight into how to fix a problem.
  • Getting good rest, exercising and eating healthy meals can strengthen your immune system and help you avoid getting sick.
